HAUTE COUTURE AUTUMN/WINTER 2013: JEAN PAUL GAULTIER

YES! This is the moment that I've been waiting for. Haute Couture Autumn/Winter is back! This is the time where the world renown designers will present their most expensive and exclusive collection of the year in Paris. Unlike Ready-To-Wear (RTW) collection, it is sewn with extreme attention to detail and high quality materials by the most experienced seamstress. Most of the time, it is very time consuming. No doubt that its customers are high ranking positions ladies and celebrities who ordered the collection to strut to parties, weddings and red carpet.

**Fashion Term Dictionary Corner**
Haute means "High" or "Elegant"
"Couture" means "dressmaking" in French.
Pronounciation:

Here, I would like to share with you what French Jean Paul Gaultier's Swiss Guard and Safari inspired pieces completed with cone hats look like. As most designers would normally do in an haute couture fashion show, Gaultier presented a wedding dress at the end of show. Check out the "Gasing" or spinning-top inspired hairstyle too!! Haha.
